Indradyumna Swami: Every day we chant the holy names of the Lord for hours along the beaches of the Baltic Sea coast. Each evening thousands of people attend our festivals and many chant along with us. We are happy and satisfied serving the mission of our glorious spiritual master, Srila Prabhupada.
“When people properly glorify the Supreme Personality of Godhead, or simply hear about His power, the Lord personally enters their hearts and cleanses away every trace of misfortune, just as sun removes the darkness or as a powerful wind drives away the clouds.”

“One who chants the holy name even once is considered a Vaisnava devotee, and the householders should be very attentive to respect such a person. But the devotee who constantly chants Krsna’s name is even a better Vaisnava, for he is endowed with all good qualities. The most advanced Vaisnava of all is he who inspires others who see him to immediately chant the Lord’s name. When he chants the name even once, attraction to rendering eternal devotional service to the Supreme Lord is irrevocably established. Kindly tell Me how the nondevotees can be made to accept the chanting of the holy name of Krsna.”
Festival of India (Ratha Yatra) ISKCON Toronto took place Yong & Bloor to Central Island 12th & 13th of July 2014. With Chanting Maha Mantra and Dancing the main part of the festival.
The holy name is both the means and the end The only method or means (sadhana) in this age is the holy name of the Lord. The only goal (sadhya) to be attained in this age is Krsnaprema. Even in the stage of perfection, the name is not given up but is chanted all the more, for it is intrinsic to the activities of prema. Indeed, the name is not different from the Lord: it is the very embodiment of prema. If the means is the end, then the end and the means never contradict one another. If process is identical to the objective, then it is easy for the jivas to attain the desired goal of life, Krsnaprema. By the mercy of His holy name, Krsna easily delivers the jivas in the age of Kali.

Family life (and the home itself) should be an ashrama, a place for spiritual culture. • The grihastha ashrama is considered higher than the brahmachari ashrama, an opportunity for personal and spiritual growth by extending one’s responsibility. • Mutual respect between the ashramas is an essential feature of a healthy society. • Personal growth and character formation are integral to the process of spiritual development. • Though Vaisnava theology values ultimate renunciation, such renunciation has to be internal and mature. Otherwise it is inappropriate and may be dangerous both individually and socially.
A short visit to the Holy sites of Kamyavana with H.G Deena Bandhu prabhu. Kama means “desires.” The Adi Varaha Purana states that this is the forest where all the desires of the demigods and devotees are fulfilled. This forest has a parikrama of 22 km (14 miles). The town here is called Kaman and it is a fairly good-sized town. When the three original Deities of Vrindavana, Radha Madana-Mohana, Radha Govinda and Radha Gopinatha were taken from Vrindavana to Jaipur to avoid being destroyed by Aurangzeb, they stayed in Kamyavana for three nights. Since these Deities stayed here, three temples have been established here dedicated to Radha Govinda, Radha Madana-Mohana and Radha Gopinatha, Radha Gopinatha is worshiped in a house of a grihasta. There are 84 kundas here where Krishna would have pastimes with the cowherd boys.
Lord Krsna’s name is cintamani, formed of eternal and transcendental touchstone. Just as a touchstone yields all desirable objects, so the touchstone of Krsna’s holy name gives religiosity, wealth, sense pleasure and liberation to a materialistic person. To a surrendered devotee, it offers pure love of Krsna.
All glories, all glories to the holy name, the abode of immortal transcendental bliss. The Supreme Absolute Truth, who possesses an eternal form, has descended in the form of the holy name. He shows mercy to His devotees and shows boundless compassion and kindness to all fallen souls.
Indradyumna Swami: Today’s newspapers reported a terrible plane crash, crimes, scandals, murders and ongoing fighting in wars around the world. We live in troubled times. The only hope is Krsna consciousness, which quickly brings relief from the miseries of material life. That antidote is delivered in the form of blissful chanting and dancing to the holy names of the Lord. Our humble contribution to that effort is our daily harinams and festivals along the northern beaches of Poland. May Krsna grant us the strength to continue this program for many years to come!
A vet at the Soor Sarovar bird sanctuary, who did not wish to be named, said the birds may be affected by the long spell of heat. Many birds were brought to vets with eyes and head swollen in the past fortnight, he said, adding that this was a symptom of a viral infection. The vet also said the birds appeared to be suffering from a severe deficiency of vitamins and minerals, which affects the nervous system. He said that the infected peacocks start to feel dizzy and whirl to their deaths. The vet advised villagers to feed the birds water-soluble vitamin tablets and antibiotics.
Here at Gopal Soft Toys, we are trying to live a simple life according to Srila Prabhupada’s teaching. Besides creating a livelihood for the devotees who work with us, the proceeds of the sales of our Products are also supporting our small cow protection project.

Govinda had taken a turn for the worse and was refusing to eat or drink. The vet diagnosed him as having a heart condition for which there is no cure available for cows. He did prescribe some additional medicine to help alleviate some of they symptoms, but it became apparent that Govinda would soon be departing. A shade tent was erected since the weather was turning sunny and a sound system was set up to play Srila Prabupada chanting bhajans. Then on Tuesday morning (Ekadasi), with his caretakers and a number of devotees present, Govinda breathed his last.
Shortly after Srila Prabhupada’s departure in 1977, Dhruva Maharaja prabhu became temple commander of the Krsna-Balarama Mandir in Vrindavan. In 1981, he resided at Srila Prabhupada’s rooms at Radha-Damodara Temple. During that time he met several local Vaisnavas and developed an interest to learn more about Vraja Mandala and parikrama. A few years later he participated in Lord Caitanya’s 500th Anniversary Padayatra around India, beginning in Dvaraka and walking to Cochin in South India. After participating in and leading many padayatras during those years, in 1985 Dhruva Maharaja prabhu met and married his wife, Samapriya devi dasi. The couple returned to the U.S. and continued to distribute Srila Prabhupada’s books and gradually phased into other seasonal businesses as well. They have spent the last 29 years traveling back and forth between the U.S. and India: Vrindavana (1985-89), Mayapur (1990-94), and Jagannatha Puri, where they built a home in 1994 and continue to visit up to the present. During this time, he also wrote and published two books on the holy dhamas: “Vrindavana Dhama Ki Jaya!” and “Jaya Jagannatha!”
“Chanting is the greatest act of piety and the supreme refuge. Even the words of the Vedas do not possess sufficient power to its magnitude. Chanting is the highest path to liberation, peace and eternal life. It is the pinnacle of devotion, the heart’s joyous proclivity and attraction and the best form of remembrance of the Supreme Lord. The holy name has appeared solely for the benefit of the living entities as their Lord and master, their supreme worshipable object and their spiritual guide and mentor.
The last few weeks have been VERY busy in the gardens. We have had many new volunteers. A family from Maryland came to work and camp in the garden. Currently we have two volunteers from WWOOF (world wide opportunities on organic farms) that have been helping with our abundant harvest of green beans. The Roots & Shoots 4-H Cloverbud Club came and spent a day touring the gardens and picking flowers. The kids had a wonderful time and learned all about farming and flowers.
Susan: When I was in my late teens he joined the religion Krishna Consciousness. I was horrified and upset when he did as I thought it a foreign strange group and for many years rejected him from my life. As I grew in maturity and he grew in his religion I realized I was wrong and felt ashamed of my behavior. In a world where we all struggle for inner peace, spirituality, and centeredness I saw a lot of that in him as well as a beautiful loving human being who I have come to admire and love even more. Thank you Donn (Deena Bandhu Das) for teaching me. Travel safely. Love you always. Your little sister
…with Bhakti Prabhupada Vrata Damodar Swami. The hallmark of a mahabhagavata (the most elevated devotee) in kali-yuga is that he chants the holy name of the Lord constantly. (Skanda Purana)
Duplicity is something required in the material world but from the spiritual plane duplicity is a real problem. It is actually one of the activities that can really block our spiritual advancement and it’s important that a vaisnava is not only truthful in what he says and that he doesn’t speak any lies, but that he’s just truthful about what he is experiencing, because then one can actually take shelter of the vaisnavas. If we are on the platform of pretending, always playing a part for everyone, then we are very alone because we never share our real self with anybody else. So we have to come to the point where we just share wherever we are, whatever we are going through with other vaisnavas, because then we get the shelter of the vaisnavas.
Ritualistic religious practices like yajna, charity, sacred baths and chanting of Vedic hymns are all regulated by rules of times, cleanliness, etc. To consider that the chanting of the holy name is subject to the same restrictions is a gross blunder. There are no hard and fast rules for chanting. Therefore, everyone chant Krishna’s name at all times.
Lord Krishna said to Arjuna, ‘O Arjuna! Listen attentively. When the living entity chants My name, whether out of devotion or indifference, I never forget this act. It remains always close to My heart. There is now vow like chanting the holy name, no knowledge superior to It, no meditation which comes anywhere near it, and it gives the highest result. No penance is equal to it, and nothing is as potent or powerful as the holy name.
We have recently found out that you will take sannyasa, and that the initiation will take place at Goloka Dham, Germany on Janmastami this year. What made you decide to take this step?

Hari Bol. My name is Bal Gopal das. My wife Lalita Sundari and I are residents of New Dvaraka Dham. Last February my daughter Gauri had her 7th birthday. A television show named Take Me To Your Mother came to film how Hare Krishnas celebrate birthday parties.
“One who chants Krishna’s name and constantly remembers Him, even though living in this material ocean of nescience, is like the lotus, which is born in the water but is untouched by it: it’s position is transcendental. This great soul is capable of liberating all the suffering residents of the hellish planets. (Varaha Purana)
“Marriage is for producing nice children, Krsna (God) conscious children. Because at the present moment the population is not being produced very nicely, therefore there is disturbance of peace all over the world. But if there are Krsna (God) conscious children, they’ll grow up and they will possess all good qualities. So peace automatically will come if people become Krsna (God) conscious because they become highly qualified, without committing any sinful activities. If such population is there in the world, there is no question of disturbance.” (Marriage Lecture 4-2-72)

Stockholm is the capital of Sweden. In the age of Kali, intelligent persons perform congregational chanting to worship the incarnation of Godhead who constantly sings the names of Krishna. Although His complexion is not blackish, He is Krishna Himself. He is accompanied by His associates, servants, weapons and confidential companions. SB 11.5.32
Jaya Srila Prabhupada!
Indradyumna Swami: Mielno has a reputation of being a tough town especially during the summer when thousands of young men and women come to drink and party in the many bars and discos around town. But for 3 days this week our harinama party and festivals flooded Mielno with the nectar of the holy names. Both the gentle and the ruffians chanted and danced along with us in great ecstasy. All glories to Sri Krsna samkirtan!
My dear King, although Kali-yuga is an ocean of faults, there is still one good quality about this age: Simply by chanting the Hare Krishna maha-mantra, one can become free from material bondage and be promoted to the transcendental kingdom. SB 12.3.51
Bhakti Rasamrita Swami: Recently a devotee veterinary doctor, Dr Sreekumar, brought to my attention the work of Allan Savory,a biologist & ecologist, who persuasively argues the case for increasing the number of cattle & implementing ‘holistic planned grazing’ as the only solution to the rapid desertification of vast swathes of land on the planet. Dr Savory also emphasises the positive & substantial impact this will have in reversing climate change.

After we left from Gothenburg, we spent two wonderful days at a nearly deserted lake near Trättelanda. There we were able to celebrate wonderful Ekadasi, chanting and reading, swimming or just even let your mind wander. Then it went in a rush of 108 Km / h towards Oslo on, where we were greeted with ice in the temple. Then we went into the city – Harinam. On Thursday, we celebrated Ratha Yatra and counter to the emphasis weather forecast it was not raining, but we celebrated extensively in the sunshine.

Yesterday we did all the pertinent tests at the Clinic to see Jayapataka Swami’s health condition in general.
The holy name of Lord Krishna is a reservoir of all transcendental happiness. It destroys the sins of the Kali-yuga. It is the most purifying of all purifying things. It is the saintly person’s food as he traverses the path to the spiritual world. It is the pleasure garden where the voices of the greatest saints, philosophers, and poets play. It is the life of the righteous and the seed of the tree of religion. May that holy name of Lord Krishna bring transcendental auspiciousness to you all.—author unknown (Padyavali 3)
