In 1987, Bhakti Carudesna Swami was a college student when he met a Sankirtan devotee who sold him Srila Prabhupada’s *Science of Self-realization*. That same year, a few months later, he joined the temple and became highly inspired to support Srila Prabhupada’s mission and preach in his country, Ivory Coast. In 1989, Carudesna, in 1989, received first initiation from His Holiness Bhakti Tirtha Maharaja, and second initiation in 1995. That same year he took up the service as Temple President for Ivory Coast.

Festival of India in Moldova (6 min video)
Indradyumna Swami: Moldova is a landlocked country between Romania and Ukraine. This weekend we will hold our Festival of India at an exposition site near the center of the capital, Chisinau. Sixty devotees from 11 different countries will perform dance, drama, kirtan and more. Yesterday morning we took a few local devotees out on harinama to advertise the event. In the evening we were on Moldova’s most popular talk show for 90 minutes. One million people watched as we shared the blissful life of Krsna consciousness with them and invited everyone to the festival. Needless to say, we are the talk of the town.

PM Modi meets Bhagwat Gita Champion League winner Maryam Asif Siddiqui (1 min video)
New Delhi, June 18 (ANI): Winner of Bhagavad Gita Champion League Maryam Asif Siddiqui called on Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Thursday. The 12 year old Mumbai-based student had recently won the Bhagavad Gita Champion League, which was organized by ISKCON – the International Society for Krishna Consciousness. During her meeting with the Prime Minister, Maryam donated Rs. 11,000/- each to the Prime Minister’s National Relief Fund, and the Swachhta Abhiyan. The Prime Minister gifted her five books on different religions. He congratulated her for her achievement, and said her interest in various religions is an inspiration for all Indians. Maryam was accompanied by her parents, Asif Naseem Siddiqui and Farhan Asif Siddiqui.

Krishna conscious government leaders and educators should be tolerant and compassionate. For example, a Krishna conscious leader should encourage the Muslims to become better Muslims and the Christians to become better Christians, all the while understanding that different spirit souls influenced by various combinations of the modes of nature may need more time to come to the platform of pure devotional service, the true religion of the soul. As Srila Prabhupada explains, we should encourage everyone in their particular faith, making sure that they are at least following the tenets laid down by their particular prophets. This would undoubtedly lead to a peaceful situation in the world.

“SIMPLY MAGNIFICENT” London Rathayatra 2015 (Album with photos)
After 43 years finally blessed to be in attendance at this amazing event. London Rathayatra meant so much to Srila Prabhupada and is still being carried on in such a wonderful manner. This year over 10,700 On Chanting brochures were distributed thanks to Bhajahari prabhu and his team and all the devotees who helped.
Cooking for 16,000 began two days before by a dedicated team headed by Parasuram, Arjuna, Achintya, Krishna Mayi dasi, Patanjali, Taruna, Nayan and many others, and continued all Saturday night. The procession and festival were organized perfectly in a joint effort by Soho and Bhaktivedanta Manor Temples. Kirtans led by Kadamba Kanana maharaja, Govinda, Kripamoya, Harinamananda and Parividha prabhus and more Kirtaneers, were exceptionaly ecstatic. Prasadam was delicious and everyone experienced transcendental bliss. Thank you Lord Krishna and Srila Prabhupada for your mercy. And thanks to my good wife Dvija Priya dasi for the photos…..

The 13th Global Indian Festival was held from 3rd – 7th June at one of Malaysia’s biggest malls, the Mid Valley Megamall. The Indian population in Malaysia is a small fraction of 7% and during this festival it seems like the entire Indian population has descended here. The atmosphere is completely chaotic and the only intention in people’s minds is to either sell something for a profit or buy something with a good deal. Dare I say though, the only good deal in the festival is the presence of sincere followers of Srila Prabhupada.

The Daily Telegraph newspaper, one of the top papers in London, covered the event the day after; putting a ½ page photo of the famous dressed up sister couple of Radha-Krishna for its audience of more than 500,000 people. The MP of Hendon Matthew Offord was in attendance, arriving back from Paris just before, but making it in time for viewing Lords on Their cart at Trafalgar Square.

He was always charitable to brahmanas and equally befriended other castes. He never showed pride, and his amiable disposition was a characteristic feature of his life. He never accepted gifts from anyone; he even declined all honors and titles offered by the government to him on the grounds that they might stand against his holy mission of life. He was very strict in moral principles, and avoided the luxurious life; he would not even chew betel. He disliked theaters because they were frequented by “public women.” He spoke Bengali, Sanskrit, English, Latin, Urdu, Persian, and Oriya. He started writing books at age 12, and continued turning out a profuse number of volumes up until his departure from this world.

We conducted a mantra meditation workshop and lively kirtan every half hour and introduced people to the temple experience by giving them an opportunity to ‘Offer a flower at the altar and make a wish’, sing, meditate, play instruments, hear some yoga philosophy and ask questions, and leave by receiving a delicious sweet.
