2018 Navadvipa Mandala Parikrama Day 2 (Album of photos)
Hare Krishna, Dear Gaura Bhaktas, today the devotees left Harihara ksetra towards Gauradaha. Then they visited the abode of our beloved acarya Srila Bhaktivinoda Thakura also known as svananda sukhada kunja. Srila Gaura Kishora das Babaji Maharaja’s bhajan kutir, the Thakur’s samadhi and Gaura Gadadhara deities are all to be found there. There is a place which is regarded as one of the most sacred places in Navadvipa, a place where Lord Nityananda Prabhu performed and still performs pastimes, a place where all preachers gain inspiration from, that is Surabhi Kunja. It was this very place where Lord Nityananda Prabhu started His Namahata or the market place of the Holy Name. There HH Bhakti Dhira Damodara Maharaja spoke about the glorious character and pastimes of Gaura Kishora Das Babaji Maharaja. After visiting this best of holy places, dancing and singing the devotees visited Hamsa Vahan and Naimsaranya which will be giving them shelter for this night. HH Prahladananda Maharaja described Vrindavan Dham and the beauty of Lord Krishna in a such an enchanting way and thus guided the devotees to perform smaranam , remembering the Lord which is the processes of this island Madhyadvipa. Tomorrow parikrama shall enter Navadvipa town and there will be maha harinam.

Srila Prabhupada: Kali-yuga continues for 432,000 years, of which only 5,000 years have passed. Of the balance 427,000 years, the 10,000 years of the sankirtana movement inaugurated by Sri Caitanya Mahaprabhu 500 years ago provide the opportunity for the fallen souls of Kali-yuga to chant the Hare Krishna maha-mantra and thus return home, back to Godhead. Gopi Gita: Yesterday a whole group of local community devotees volunteered at the Festival of Joy booth at the Chinese Festival at North Park Mall held by the Crow Museum. (Album of photos)
125 mandala crafts were made! 1200 Jagannath cards passed out individually to the festival and mall goers.
So many of my friends were there at different times. I came for the last two hours so I missed you all but I really wanted to express how cool it was knowing you were there and that I’m getting to share Krishna alongside you all.

2018 Navadvipa Mandala Parikrama- Day 1 (Album of photos)
“By performing Sri Navadvipa Mandala Parikrama the whole world will be liberated” -Bhaktivinod Thakur Hare Krishna! Dear Guarabhaktas, today it was the first day if the most auspicious Sri Navadvipa Mandala Parikrama. Srila Bhaktisiddhanta Sarasvati Thakur started this parikrama in 1918, thus making this, the 100th Parikrama. Sri Navadvipa Dhama ki Jay! Today the international party chanted and danced in the land of Godrumadvipa. First place visited was Suvarna Vihar. There we had Guru Puja followed by a class given by HH Bhakti Caitanya Maharaja who very expertly added Russian words to his speech, for the pleasure of the Russian devotees. Mukti Datta Prabhu is a very sweet kirtaniya from Bengal who comes every year to the International party to bathe us in the nectar of the morning bhajans: “Udilo Aruna” and “Jiva Jago”, both composed by Srila Bhaktivinoda Thakur. Next stop was Nrisimpalli where we had class by HH Bhakti Dhira Damodara Maharaja followed by a spontaneous drama of Lord Nrisimhadeva played by HG Pancharatna Prabhu and his family. The last place was Hari Hara Kshetra where the devotees will spend the night. Many have come for the first time and they are loving it. Nitai Gaura Sitanath Premanande Hari Hari Bol!

The Chariot of the Mind – By the medieval poet, Govinda Das
By drinking the nectarean honey of the lotus feet of Sri Gaura, by singing the glories of Sri Gaura’s deity, by listening to the instructions of Sri Gaura, and by associating with devotees who follow his instructions, so many fortunate individuals experienced the joyous waves of prema.

O mind! Why do you keep burning repeatedly in the fire of worldliness? Simply keep chanting the mantra of your dear Lord.
Think carefully about the ultimate aim of your life and then climb on the chariot of the [purified] mind. Make the feet of Lord Gaura your charioteer.
Engage your five life-airs (prāṇa, apāna, udāna, vayāna and samāna) as the five horses driving this chariot. Let āśā, the hope of attaining the Lord, be the strong rope controlling these horses so that the chariot may never break down.
Using this chariot, go quickly towards the shore of the unlimited ocean of the Lord’s loving pastimes. Having reached there, bathe thoroughly in the waves of this ocean of prema.
In this ocean, you will swim along with other servants of Hari who are delighting in the waves of bhakti-rasa. These servants of Hari will fetch you the rare jewel of prema from the depths of this ocean and will thus fulfill your most cherished desire.
In the middle of that ocean of bhakti-rasa is a house decorated with precious jewels in which brilliant complexioned Radha and dark complexioned Shyam reside.
The charioteer, Lord Gaura’s lotus feet, will help you meet these two, Radha and Shyam. It is for this reason that Govinda Das sings the glories of Gaura.

Dharmatma Das ACBSP: A wonderful gathering of over 450 Nepali devotees at Hrishikesh Mandir, Rurukshetra Dham at Ridi Bazar, situated on the banks of Kali Gandaki River, Nepal. Three days of wonderful programs, Krishna katha, huge Harinam in Ridi Bazar, Kirtans and otherworldly Prasadam. All glories to the sweet devotees who expertly organized everything and cared for us so nicely.

The 16th Disappearance-Day of our beloved Tamal Krishna Goswami.
H.H. Niranjana Swami was saying that during the kirtans in Mayapur in 2002 Tamal Krishna Maharaja was so affectionate towards him, that it was very very moving for him. Tamal Krishna Maharaja always wanted him to come to his room for the kirtans, he would always ask him to lead kirtan, he would always ask him to chant particular melodies. Niranjana Swami said it was that particular year that Maharaja was showing uncanny affection towards a particular group of his godbrothers and that he felt somehow that he was on the mercy end, that he was getting some special mercy of a senior godbrother. They became very close during those days in 2002 at the Mayapur Festival.
H.G. Rati Manjari Devi Dasi asked His Holiness Niranjana Swami if he remembered anything in particular that Tamal Krishna Goswami said to him in these final weeks when he was still physically present? In this video we see H.H. Niranjana Swami’s reply about the very last time he saw Maharaja:

Hare Krishna Temple’s Food Festival A Massive Success!
ISKCON Auckland (International Society for Krishna Consciousness) celebrated its annual food festival on Saturday, January 27 at Sri Sri Radha Giridhari Temple in Kumeu.
The festival started around about 4 p.m. with over 2000 people participating in the event. This event witnessed the crowd not just from the Indian community but from people all other ethnic backgrounds who came forward and supported the annual celebration at ISKCON temple.
“The people not only enjoyed the Hare Krishna style food with many other varieties but also enjoyed the positive vibes of the temple atmosphere which was accompanied by soul soothing music and dance,” the spokesperson of ISKCON temple Krishnacandra Das told The Indian Weekender.

Volunteers at the temple, called ‘Hare Krishnas’, welcomed their guests by distributing free bliss balls (sweet) on their entry and temple tours were also part of the festival organized for the visitors.

Bouncing castles, face painting, and rides were arranged for the children to participate and enjoy at the food festival.

Krishna Kshetra Swami: My last day in India, after 3.5 months, Delhi devotees kindly brought me to visit ISKCON Chippiwada. At the end of a tiny back alley in Old Delhi, near Jama Masjid and Red Fort–this is the very place that Srila Prabhupada stayed, 1959-1965, when in Delhi, between times he stayed in Vrindavan. Here, living alone in a room with no windows, in perhaps one of the most densely populated areas in the world, he worked on his Bhagavatam and BTG, and from here he would meet the printer and sell BTGs around the city. In recent years ISKCON devotees spent seven years finding the trustees of this property, negotiating with them, buying the property, and coaxing the pujari and his brother to move out with a handsome sum of money. A group of 7-8 devotees is now enthusiastically doing a major renovation from top to bottom (4 floors, including basement, main floor with temple [Sri Sri Radha-Vallabha, said to have been installed in the late 19th c.], the next floor up with the side room where Prabhupada stayed and a nice space that is becoming an SP museum; prasadam and kitchen floor, and top floor brahmacari ashram…and a rooftop that will be a nice place for programs). This center is one of the nine-becoming-fifteen temples in the greater Delhi area. Two huge projects presently under construction, one in the Rohini district and one in the Dwarka district, are massive projects. ISKCON Delhi distributed 5 lakh (500,000) Bhagavad-gitas during this last book marathon….
