This is the first sample of the iron casting of the grills, fences and railings for TOVP. In this old Kolkata Factory they prepare hundreds of molds during 3 days, and than cast 3 days non stop. Casting involves continuous casting process, metal starts flowing at 7 in the morning, and only finish at 8pm.

Last week in our GRC Factory we experimented with metal casting into a sand mold. We made our fresh Copper based alloy with Nickel, Silicone, Bismuth, Zinc and Aluminum. This alloy creates a non- leaded yellow brass. Our experimental melting furnace runs on regular kitchen gas and it has a maximum temperature of 1,6oo°C / 2,912°F.
