Even Mickey Mouse and Mini participate in the Harinama Party :-) (5 min video)
Srila Prabhupada: Narada Muni, citing a practical example from his own life, established that by associating with devotees and chanting the Hare Krishna mantra, any man in any condition of life can achieve the highest perfection without a doubt. (Srimad-Bhagavatam, 7.15.74 Purport)

They are Vaikunta Children
→ ISKCON Malaysia

BY JAI SITA RANI DEVI DASI

KUALA LUMPUR - With success of our youth in activities like fund-raising, kirtan mela and ratha yatras, we see a new generation taking over very nicely. Much enthusiasm and cooperation were seen among themselves. They have put in so much effort, time and thought to the entire process of organizing these Krishna Conscious activities. Kudos to all the youth for bringing Mayapur to Kuala Lumpur in the recent organisation of Kirtan Mela Malaysia 2014. You have given us hope that Krishna Consciousness will prevail in Malaysia and may you take it to greater heights as you continue to enthuse and motivate more and more people to take up Krishna Consciousness seriously.

These children are given to us by Krishna, they are Vaisnavas and we must be very careful to protect them. These are not ordinary children, they are Vaikuntha children, and we are very fortunate we can give them chance to advance further in Krishna Consciousness. That is very great responsibility, do not neglect it or be confused. Your duty is very clear. - Srila Prabhupada

“How to see God” - public program in Salem. (Album 108 photos)
“How to see God” was a title at public program this Saturday, in the city of Salem, Tamil Nadu where some 1000 people gathered to hear lecture by HH Bhakti Vikasa Swami.
Maharaj had explained the limits of sense perception to reach the transcendent Lord, and emphasized that by pleasing Lord with devotional service, the Lord will reveal Himself to His devotee.
Many questions were asked and many books were distributed. Finally everyone got some nice sweet pongal prasadam, and many new comers attended today’s Sunday Fest at ISKCON Salem temple.

Harinam in Suva, Fiji (Album 50 photos)
Srila Prabhupada: If we simply place ourselves at the lotus feet of Krishna by taking to Krishna consciousness and keeping always in touch with Him by chanting the Hare Krishna mantra, we need not take much trouble in arranging to return to the spiritual world. By the mercy of Sri Caitanya Mahaprabhu, this is very easy. (Srimad-Bhagavatam, 7.15.53 Purport)

Simply Stupendous – An Affair with the Holy Name on Kirtan Mela Malaysia Day 2
→ ISKCON Malaysia

BY JAI SITA RANI DEVI DASI

PHOTOS BY SUGUNAMAYI VISHAKA DEVI DASI

KUALA LUMPUR - No words can describe the mood that captivated the hearts of all who attended the 2nd day of Kirtan Mela Malaysia in Sri Jagannatha Mandir, Kuala Lumpur. It was simply stupendous to say the least. Taking us to new heights never experienced before, everyone was just soaked in Krishna's mercy flowing through every vein in their blood.

Taking the mood from Mayapur to Kuala Lumpur, Devadharma Dasa took the lead for the day, followed by Dinesh and Jivanandha Caitanya from Bukit Mertajam, displaying their refreshing youthful talent, and BB Govinda Swami and the musicians from Kazakstan playing the harmonium and saxophone, with Bhaktivinod Dasa from Mayapur playing the mrdanga rocked the entire crowd with his rendition of Hare Krishna Mahamantra. Chant loudly he said to open our heart and let the love flow in. Chanting loudly for three hours daily would keep one away from maya as it is recommended in the Caitanya Caritamrta. His continuous call brought out cries for Krishna from the core of our soul and making us dance to the upbeat music which drained every anartha from our hearts.

It was a all girls affair in the afternoon as the local youth girls lead by Shevaanni and Subhasini with mrdanga played by the Jeevita and karatals by Sarva Shobana Radha Dasi provided youth girl power music in every sense of the word.

From Philippines, it was Baladev Dasa next in line and Mahadri Dasa from Indonesia took the scene later keeping the tempo going. This was followed by local singers Vamana Dasa from Penang and Siva Caitanya Dasa from Kuala Lumpur who reminded us that this Kirtan Mela was dedicated to Jayapataka Swami for his health and recovery, before Nitai Priya from Ghana sang this rendition. His depth in voice covered with sweetness simply made our heart melt invoking love for Krishna.

The evening saw Sri Hari Dasa and Naru Gopal Dasa from the Mayapur Chandras emphasing that the there is nothing more wonderful in the entire universe than participating in congregation chanting and that was Lord Chaitanya's only desire. So never loose the opportunity to participate in it ever in your life.

The crowd grew more by this time filing up the temple hall to its brim as it was the last opportunity to take the association of BB Govinda Swami for the day. Taking up the congregation chanting which is the yuga dharma for this age would even cause the Vaikunta beings to stand behind us and give us support. Just by having the Kirtan Mela in Malysia, not only the people participating it is benefited but the entire world also benefits. Its akin to watering the roots of the tree to nourish the entire plant or feeding the stomach to nourish the entire body, he said. This is because the love is distributed to every living being in the entire world.

The auction of mrdangas which was offered to their Lordships Nitai Sundar Gaura Hari and Sri Sri Jagannatha Baladeva and Subhatra for the entire two days was up for auction for the crowd to raise money for the fund raising. An amusing interaction with the crown and BB Govinda Swami saw all five mrdangas sold for prices ranging from RM450 to RM1000.

The night climaxed with Ojasvi Dasa taking the stage with his sweet mellows on the Hare Krishna Mahamantra rocking the crowd to complete craziness as they danced, swirled and moved to his melody. Everyone was soaked in sweat, the sweat of love for Krishna.

It didn't end there as the slower bajans on Govinda and Gopala went on. He said the song cries out for Govinda and Gopala as it cannot fill the head with anymore to fill it for Govinda or Gopala. The head is so full with everything else but Krishna. With the constant cries for the Govinda and Gopala, hopefully at least the tears will flow to attract them since the head is so full.

And with those tears we ended our affair with the Holy Name on Kirtan Mela Malaysia 2014. Until we meet again next year watch the photo albums and videos to capture the moments with the kirtaneers at our website ISKCONMALAYSIA.COM
