Hare Krishna! From Sri Mayapur Chandrodaya Mandir: HH Bhaktimarga Swami
There is a very popular mantra out there these days that is not the Hare Krishna mantra. I think it came out during Churchill’s time in Britain during the war. You’ve heard it. It goes, “Keep calm and carry on.” That mantra can very much apply in our Krishna Consciousness. A devotee can be very eager for making spiritual progress. “Yes. I really want to be, really, purely, one hundred percent, cent per cent Krishna Conscious. Right now!” We can be very demanding of that. But again, keep calm and carry on. Carry on with what? Carry on with the simple processes of devotional service, beginning with hearing and chanting.

The lotus of the mercy of the Lord
→ KKSBlog

(Kadamba Kanana Swami, 19 February 2013, London, England, Srimad Bhagavatam 8.5.13)

white_lotus_
In the sankirtan movement of Sri Caitanya Mahaprabhu, the lotus is now fully opening.

śreyaḥ-kairava-candrikā-vitaraṇaḿ vidyā-vadhū-juvenal,(Siksastakam, verse 1)

In this first verse of the Siksastakam, there are a few translations. One translation says something about the benediction moon and another translation speaks about the lotus that opens. It is said in the commentaries of the acharyas that actually there is a white lotus, that opens not during the day but it opens in the moonlight during the night. So it means that in the night of kali-yuga, in the darkest night, the lotus will fully open, the lotus of the mercy of the Lord will fully open.

So in this way, the sampradaya is carrying transcendental knowledge from one spiritual master to the next. Sometimes the knowledge remains a little hidden and the lotus is more closed but when the Lord himself comes then it fully opens! So in this way, we can understand that now it’s more easy then it ever was to overcome the illusory energy.

Hare Krishna! Final Words of a Dying Father
I started chanting the holy names of Krishna, the Hare Krishna maha-mantra, and began to follow the four regulative principles. It was amazing to see how I could easily give up my nasty habits. My family members were initially skeptical, unable to understand the change in me. Earlier all my actions were under the influence of alcohol, but seeing this miraculous transformation in my life, they were wondering if I was acting under the influence of something more dangerous. Every morning I started reading the Bhagavad-gita, and I introduced everyone in my home to the devotional way of life. After a few years, Lokanatha Swami Maharaja offered me spiritual initiation, giving me the name Caitanya Carana Dasa.

Is applying material science to spiritual things wrong?
→ The Spiritual Scientist

From Sudhamayi chitra dd
I am really surprised how as devotees we are applying material science concepts in the spiritual world. We all know about the trees in Nidhuvan (Vrndavan) grow downwards after a particular height. We know the wonders of Jagannath Puri how things happens against material laws. If we see the vigraha as metal, then we are no less than atheists who are envious of the Lord. High time we evaluate our Krsna Consciousness.

Sri Navadvipa Mandala Parikrama Day 6 (Album 152 photos)
The International group reaches Simantadvipa. The day was filled with katha from morning to evening (about 6 hours of pure nectar). HH Bhakti Nrisimha Maharaj, Bhakti Nityananda Maharaj and Bhakti Purusottama Maharaj gave us the fisrt wave of nectar at the edge of Rudradvipa. Soon after HH Sacinandana Maharaj led the devotees on an unforgettable harinam heading towards Chand Kazi’s Samadhi. The Parikrama’s peak was at Kolavecha Sridhara’s house where the devotees heard from senior devotees, HG Pankajanghri Prabhu in particular, about the glories of Sridhara and Lord Jagannath. There the transcendental twins along with HH Bhakti V. V. Nrisimha Maharaj put together a play on the pastimes of Kolaveca Sridhara and Mahaprabhu. The evening was majestically blessed with 3 hours of katha by HH Bhakti Caitanya and HH Sacinandana Maharaj. Those were the final lectures on Lord Caitanya’s going to Vrindavan. The day ended with the sharing of realizations done by the devotees where HH Jayapataka Maharaj was personally present.

Hare Krishna! Sri Caitanya in the Vedas
Translated by Kusakratha Dasa
Lord Caitanya Mahaprabhu is the Supreme Personality of Godhead who appears as Lord Sankarsana and Lord Vasudeva. He is the original father of Brahma, Siva, Indra, Brhaspati, all the demigods, and all moving and nonmoving living entities. He is the original cause of all that is temporary and all that is eternal. Nothing exists separately from Him, and therefore He is everything. One who worships the Supreme Lord, Sri Caitanya Mahaprabhu, with devotion and always remembers Him becomes free from all sins and completely pure. Easily understanding the truth about the Personality of Godhead and becoming free from all material lamentation, such a devotee attains the supreme goal of life, which is unattainable by those averse to the Supreme Lord, Sri Caitanya Mahaprabhu.

Janmastami, 2014: Updated
→ KKSBlog

Report by Bhakta Shiv

After Balarama Jayanti, Kadamba Kanana Swami spent a few days in Radhadesh and then travelled to Goloka Dhama in Abentheur, Germany on the 16 August, which was the day before Janmastami. Candramauli Swami, Krsna Ksetra Swami and many devotees from all over the world also came to Goloka Dhama. On the day before Janmastami, a six hour kirtan festival was held in the temple room as well as lectures by Candramauli Swami and Madhavanda Prabhu. Kadamba Kanana Swami gave the evening class, guiding everyone through Krsna’s pastimes in Vrindavan and setting a few meditations to see Janmastami as an opportunity for change to enhance our spiritual life.

On Janmastami morning, Krsna Ksetra Prabhu gave the final of a series of classes on deity worship that he had been doing for the last few days. Then all the devotees gathered in the temple room, eager for the curtains to open to get the first darshan of Sri Sri Radha Madhan Mohan. Sarvatma Prabhu led kirtan, building up the atmosphere and then read a small excerpt, setting the beautiful scene of Krsna and Radharani on a swing in everyone’s mind. Then suddenly the curtains opened and Sri Sri Radha Madhan Mohan were on a swing setting on the altar.

Candramauli Swami gave sannyasa initiation to Krsna Ksetra Prabhu (now Swami) on behalf of Sacinandana Swami, who unfortunately could not be present physically. However, Sacinandana Swami sent a letter and gave a class via skype. After the ceremony, half way through the day, Kadamba Kanana Swami flew to the Czech Republic for further Janmastami celebrations.

Gaura Purnima(Fasting till moonrise)
 Celebration on Thu March 5th 2015 @ 7pm

The Supreme Personality of Godhead, Sri Krsna, advented Himself as Lord Caitanya Mahaprabhu, appearing in Sridhama Mayapura in the city of Navadvipa, Bengal in the year 1407 AD. Sri Krsna Caitanya manifested his divine mercy in Kali Yuga by delivering the Hare Krsna maha mantra and thereby saving the most fallen souls.
Sri Sri Radha and Krsna are one divine self, or one and the same, but they have taken two bodies. Both Radha and Krsna constantly enjoy each other, and taste the pleasures of divine love. To taste this divine mellow, Sri Sri Radha-Krsna have appeared in one body, as Sri Krsna Caitanya Mahaprabhu.
