In October of this year the Temple of the Vedic Planetarium (TOVP) will achieve another historic milestone of progress: the opening of the completed Nrsimhadeva Wing, the largest Nrsimhadeva Temple in the world.

Beautifully designed and ornamented, the opening of this grand temple, the new home of our Divine Protector at ISKCON’s World Headquarters in Sridham Mayapur, heralds the opening of the Temple of the Vedic Planetarium, the largest Vedic temple to be built in modern history, during a four month festival from December, 2024 until Gaura Purnima, 2025.

An amazing accomplishment took place in New Mayapur, France. We have all seen New Mayapur rising in the book-distribution rankings in Europe, from practically no book distribution to tenth place to seventh place to fourth place and so on. In May, with 4,172 book points, New Mayapur became the No. 1 temple in Europe. Also amazing is that the No. 2 temple in Europe was Amsterdam, with 3,064 book points. Amsterdam didn't gradually ascend in the rankings. It just jumped to second place. We haven't heard scores from Amsterdam for years, if not decades. One year, when I was leaving the Dallas/Fort Worth airport on July 4, a large American flag flying in the wind caught my eye, and I was surprised by how happy I felt. I reflected on how fortunate we were to live in a country where we have freedom of religion, and how Srila Prabhupada said, “America has been so good to me to give me money, men—everything. I have no designation that ‘this is my country,’ but because they have given me so much facility, I cannot forget my obligation to them. I want to make them happy and through them the whole world.”
