TOVP Give To Nrsimha 2023 Campaign Appeal from Ambarisa Das
- TOVP.org
Dear Devotees,
This is a personal appeal from myself (Ambarisa das) and Braja Vilasa prabhu. We are quickly approaching the historic completion and opening of the Nrsimhadeva Wing in the Temple of the Vedic Planetarium this Fall. The dome interior, altar, pillars, walls, floors, doors and more will be finished and ready for Sri Sri Prahlad-Nrsimhadeva to move into Their new home during the four-month-long TOVP Grand Opening Festival from December, 2024 until Gaura Purnima, 2025.
We recently completed our very successful 36-Day 3X matching fundraiser and I have triple matched all donations during that campaign to the amount of millions of dollars as promised. I am determined and vigilant to see that the TOVP opens on time and is completed for the pleasure of Srila Prabhupada and the spiritual benefit of the entire world, as predicted by Lord Nityananda, that from this temple the service of Lord Gauranga will expand throughout the world.
We currently receive over 6 million visitors to Mayapur every year. When the temple opens, this number is expected to reach 60 million! Just imagine how this will not only expand the preaching in Sridham Mayapur by bringing throngs of people to the most important tirtha in the universe, but bring more people to all ISKCON temples worldwide. As the saying goes, “The rising tide raises all boats”. Similarly, the raising of the TOVP will benefit all Srila Prabhupada’s temples for hundreds of years to come.
Our humble appeal to all of you reading this is that you please kindly continue to sacrifice some of your earnings for this project, even if you have given before. Every little bit helps. I am doing so myself and I hope my example will inspire you to do so also.
Please visit the Give To Nrsimha 2023 Fundraiser page on the TOVP website and select a donation option you are comfortable with. Even the larger sponsorships like Medallions, Bricks, Awards, etc. can be paid in 2-3 years making it only a small amount every month to commit to.
Thank you to all who have already made this sacrifice and continue to help, and to all who will help in the future. You can rest assured that we are moving forward as promised. Our slogan for the next two years is “We Run, You, Win”. With your financial assistance we will run the race and complete the TOVP, and you win by enjoying the results of the finished grand TOVP and going back to Godhead. Hare Krishna!
Your servants,
Ambarisa das – TOVP Chairman
Braja Vilasa das – TOVP Vice-Chairman

SRIMAD BHAGAVATAM – The Book form of Lord Krsna
→ Dandavats

“A brief outline of the twelve cantos of Srimad-Bhagavatam that represent the bodily limbs of Lord Sri Krsna and present ten transcendental topics.” Of all the sacred Vaisnava scriptures, Srimad Bhagavatam is considered the topmost. Lord Sri Caitanya Mahaprabhu hailed the Bhagavatam as the spotless authority (pramanam amalam) amongst the Vedic literatures. Srila Rupa Gosvami, in his Bhakti-rasamrta-sindhu declared that hearing Srimad Bhagavatam is one of the five most potent forms of bhakti-yoga. Srila Prabhupada in Calcutta and Madras, June 6, Houston
Giriraj Swami
Srila Prabhupada wrote, “The fact is that I am the only one in India who is criticizing not only impersonalism and demi-god worship but anything that falls short of complete surrender to Krishna. My Guru Maharaja never compromised in his preaching, I will never compromise in my preaching, and similarly, none of my disciples should ever compromise in their preaching. You must declare it boldly that people should not dream of world peace unless they are prepared to surrender to Krishna as the Supreme Godhead.”

Srivasa Thakura Disappearance
→ Ramai Swami

Srivasa Thakura is understood as tatastha-shakti, a marginal energy of Bhagavan, Krishna, in person. Devotees who are headed by Srivasa Thakura are described as ‘parts’ of transcendental body of Sri Caitanya Mahaprabhu (his eyes, ears, hands, disc/cakra, etc.).
They all participated in His transcendental pastimes. They all helped to spread Krsna consciousness, sankirtana-yajna. On the other hand, Srivasa is also Narada – an eternal transcendental associate of Lord Krsna. Srivasa was studying Srimad-Bhagavatam with Advaita Acarya, who was at that time in Navadvipa.
The home of Srivasa, Srivasangam, was a place where Sri Caitanya performed sankirtana-yajna, congregational chanting of Krsna’s Holy Names, and it was a place where the Kazi, a noted Muslim leader, ruled.
However, the Kazi had a dream where Sri Caitanya said that he should allow devotional service, so since that time the Kazi promised that he would never oppose sankirtana-yajna, and also that no one from his family would ever be against Krsna. The Kazi was Kamsa in some previous life, but Sri Caitanya showed him mercy by making him a devotee.
In the house of Srivasa, Chaitanya showed His transcendental form to all His eternal associates. Therefore, Srivasangam is also the place from which the Krishna Consciousness movement started around five hundred years ago.
I attended a nice festival commemorating the disappearance of Srivasa Thakura at Sri Sri Radha Gopinatha temple in Baha, Indonesia.
