Indradyumna Swami awarded with medal for bravery!
Indradyumna Swami: This is a photo of Vladimir, a highly decorated Russian soldier, who by chance walked into our hall program in Yekaterinburg. He fought for years with Russian special forces in both Afghanistan and Chechnya. After listening to my lecture he approached me and said, “Thank you for coming to our country. Yours is a message of peace by recognizing we are all part of God’s family. War will not bring peace. It will only bring more war. I wish you the best in your mission.” Then he took off one of his medals and pinned it on my kurta. “This is my nations highest award for bravery. I pass it on to you for the courage you display in spreading God’s message in foreign lands.” I felt humbled by his words, as well as his gift. I will wear the medal and try to become the person he saw in me.

Bhakti Groove with Tulasi Nadia Sutaria Dasi and Namarasa Dasa
→ ISKCON Malaysia

BY SHEVAANNI PILLAI

KUALA LUMPUR - What a wonderful week it has been! Just before our Bhakti Groove, our monthly gathering of spiritual and fun bliss, we received amazing insights on Srila Prabhupada Lilamrta by Sureshvara prabhu! He was hilarious...especially his impersonations of Prabhupada!

And then we had very nice association with super talented and really friendly kirtaniyas, Tulasi Nadia Sutaria from London and Namarasa Dasa from New Jersey, Amrita Geteldvirse and Madhava from Russia as well. They joined us in our monthly Bhakti Groove session in Pritha's house as well as Mukunda's house, and was also treated with some of our local delicacies. And it was hilarious watching their reaction when they tried our very famous local king of fruit, durian.

Taking our guests out got us really close. After a lovely dinner at our local restaurant, Radhey's Delights, we went on sight seeing the famous Petronas twin towers and the Kuala Lumpur city. And we also managed to squeeze an adventurous hike along a waterfall in the Forest Reserve Institute of Malaysia, FRIM, enjoying the cool breeze and waterfall there.

Tulasi mataji's kirtan is still ringing in my ears. The magic of the Holy Name and the tumultuous chanting of devotees is simply beautiful! Really felt like I was in the Dham again. It's definitely true how as said in the purport of SB 4.30.37 - 'Because the devotee always carries the Supreme Personality of Godhead within his heart, wherever he goes becomes a place of pilgrimage, a holy place for understanding the Supreme Personality of Godhead." Just the kind of spiritual boost I needed. Harinam sankirtan ki JAI!!

Note: Bhakti means devotion emphasizing the mutual intense emotional attachment and love of a devotee towards the Supreme Lord, Sri Krishna. Groove in the urban dictionary is an adjective describing a rhythmic quality of music that is emotionally communicative and soulful.

The combination of both words "Bhakti Groove" formed a mystical formula of invocation, assisting communion with Sri Krishna.

With the warmest wishes to a very special couple.

Harinama in Prague, Czech Rebuplic (Album with photos)
The Harinam and Wednesday’s program April 29, 2015.
For many years Harinams – the color joyous procession of devotees singing the holy name of Krishna accompanied by harmonium, mridangas and karatalas – are inseparable from Prague. This singing represents the yuga-dharma for this age. We go regularly on Wednesdays and Fridays at 4 PM from Obecni dům on Republic Square. If you would like to join, you are cordially invited. “Sankirtana brings grace of Krishna’s holy names to the spiritually inert mass of people and indeed to all living beings who do not otherwise have the opportunity or inclination to Krishna consciousness. This public chanting purifies the contaminated atmosphere of the Kali Yuga. Everyone who will participate, will be dear to Lord Chaitanya.” (Bhakti Vikas Swami – Beginners Guide to Krishna consciousness).

Jaya Radha Madhava.
i was blessed to be with Srila Prabhupad when He went to Hanuman Prasad Poddar’s ashram in Gorakhpur… that was the place where Jaya Radha Madhava was first introduced… one morning Srila Prabhupad asked me to bring him Srila Bhaktivinode Thakur’s songbook… He looked through it and said “Oh this is a nice prayer” and sang it before Srimad Bhagavatam class… the rest is history… He sang it before every class afterwards… i sent the words to Jayatirtha Prabhu in LA, but not knowing how to write music, was unable to convey the correct tune… some of the old recordings have a made up tune that Srila Prabhupad corrected when He got back to the west… He was very adamant about chanting the tunes He had taught us and not making anything up… just like the philosophy - Nanda Kumar dasa ACBSP

His Holiness Prahladananda Swami Speaks About the TOVP
- TOVP.org

His Holiness Prahladananda Swami explains Srila Prabhupada’s vision of spreading Krishna consciousness all over the world through a cultural conquest. The TOVP represents this conquest through an architectural angle, amongst others, and the TOVP is a fitting monument for that purpose.

Huge Harinama during the Kingsday Festival 2015 in Holland. (Well written descrption and album with 291 photos)
As the harinam was approaching the bridge, Maharaj’s kirtan was going full pelt; the drumming, the mrdanga, the harmonium and the electric guitar, everything was to the max! But as soon we went under the bridge… oh my Lord Krsna, it was all over – social conventions obliterated, inhibitions laid to waste and caution was well and truly thrown to the wind. The acoustics underneath this bridge were on a whole new level and the place was absolutely heaving with people and every single one of them completely lost it, completely immersed in the intensity of the kirtan that Maharaj was delivering with some divinely ordained raw, spiritual power. Devotees or locals, it didn’t matter, everyone was in it together, dancing in unison, faces with looks of complete ecstasy. One moment everyone was going to and fro like a shoal of fish in the water, the next moment, everyone had grouped into human chains and arches and going in and out of each other; and the next moment everyone was going round and round in a whirlpool of sheer joy.

Transcendent Godhead
→ The Enquirer

The Guardians of the Directions said, “You see everything in the world, but our worldly senses cannot see you. They see only our own delusions. You can be seen, but only when we observe you directly, soul to soul, without interference from external senses. When we look at you with our deluded senses you seem to be among the five material elements, but in fact you are the sixth – beyond the five elements, the true possessor of them all.”

The Yoga Masters said, “Prabhu, no one is more beloved to you than a person who sees no differences between all the creatures in the world. And even more, tender Lord, your affection increases without limit for those who hearts run to you.

“Creatures seem to be different because their infatuation with your external qualities causes them to identify with all the different circumstances they are put into by destiny’s creations, manifestations, and destructions. We pay our respects to the rare soul who relinquishes infatuation with your external qualities, ceases to identify with external situations, and becomes situated in self-realization.”

The Veda said, “We pay respect to you, the origin of reality and source of all its fundamental qualities. Neither I nor anyone else truly comprehends your indescribable extents.”

Agni, Sacred Fire, said, “My ability to burn ignites from your ability to shine. In a proper sacrifice, I can accept five kinds of offerings with ghee, and five mantras. But you are the true recipient of the offering, and true objective of the sacrifice. I offer my respect to you.”

Reflection Of The Holy Name
→ Japa Group

If one can come to the platform of chanting namabhasa, the reflection of the holy name, strong eagerness to chant purely gradually awakens. It is an important aspect of chanting japa to cultivate this desire to some day attain suddha-nama.

This desire comes by sadhu-sanga, by hearing realized devotees glorifying the holy name and by chanting in itself. There is nothing more glorious in the whole existence than the holy name of Krsna, the glories of the Holy name are like an unlimited, ever expanding ocean.

A Sadhu Tolerates Despite Opposition, May 3, New Dwaraka, Los Angeles
Giriraj Swami

2015-05-03-LA“During the kirtan my mind was preoccupied—I was disappointed after a long day in Bombay without success. Then Srila Prabhupada  looked at me and said. ‘You should dance in the kirtan even if we don’t get the no-objection.’ So, these things go on—and what to do? We have to tolerate. And not just tolerate but—shanta—we should be peaceful. We have to be able to think of Krishna—not be so disturbed by these problems that we forget Krishna. We shouldn’t fail to be absorbed in hearing and chanting about Krishna which is our core practice.”
