“I’m a dreamer”
I am older than all of you, so I have some old songs in my head. John Lennon is still in my head, “You may say I’m a dreamer, but I’m not the only one!” That is a fact.
We need dreams in this world. We need people who have idealism and who say, “We are going to do something different! We are going to try to do it anyway, in spite of the system!”

Mongolian Krishna Mandir Receives Official Religious Status, New Temple on the Way
The names of Krishna are truly being heard in every town and village. This month, after a long waiting period, devotees’ “Krishna Mandir” organization just outside the capital of Mongolia, Ulan Bator, was given official religious status by the government.
According to leader Bhaktivaibhava Swami, that means a beautiful new temple is on the way.
Krishna consciousness first came to Mongolia in 1999 when Lakshmi Narayana, a senior devotee from East Siberia, began holding public programs there.

ISKCON Organizes First Diwali at Rome City Hall
Devotees headed by ISKCON Communications director for Italy Parabhakti Das organized and participated in the Diwali celebrations at Rome’s City Hall on October 23rd, with positive results.
“If Brussels is the diplomatic capital of Europe, Rome is its capital from the religious and cultural point of view,” Parabhakti says. “So it is important that our movement is well represented and clearly visible in this world-famous city.”
While he has pondered this need at various national and international ISKCON meetings over the years, Parabhakti has found it difficult to plan events of major impact due to the small number of devotees in Rome.
“The recommendation of Srila Prabhupada to ‘focus on the big catch’ motivated me to think more broadly and out of the box,” he says.

Another New E-book from the BBT: Sri Isopanisad in Albanian
BBT Media has announced that Sri Isopanisad by His Divine Grace A.C. Bhaktivedanta Swami Prabhupada is now available in Albanian at bbtmedia.com.
The 108 Upanisads are considered the essence of all the Vedas, and Sri Isopanisad is foremost among them. The readers can discover the distilled essence of all knowledge in these eighteen enlightening verses.
For thousands of years, people on a spiritual quest have consulted the mystical, intensely philosophical Upanisads. As the name implies (upa-near; ni-down; sad-to sit), one is advised to sit near a spiritual teacher to learn. To learn what? This Upanisad’s name gives the clue: Isa means “the supreme controller.”
The readers are invited to sit near the spiritual guide to learn about the supreme controller: God.

Does papa-yonayah in Gita 9.32 refer to a fourth category?
→ The Spiritual Scientist

Answer Podcast

Article by Hari Parshad Prabhu that compiles and analyzes a dozen acharyas commentaries on Gita 9.32

Prabhupada quotes using papa-yonayah as a fourth category, to refer to those outside varnashrama (compiled by Revati Vallabha P)

Päpa-yoni means muci, less than the çüdras. If he takes to Kåñëa consciousness, te 'pi yänti paräà gatim, they are also eligible to go back to home, back to Godhead. So even a muci or a päpa-yoni born in the low grade family, if he takes to Kåñëa consciousness, he becomes a devatä. This is also confirmed in the Çrémad-Bhägavatam by Çukadeva Gosvämé, kiräta-hüëändhra…  - Bhagavad-gétä 16.7 — Sanand, December 26, 1975

Päpa-yoni, low-born. Päpa-yoni. There are... They are mentioned in the çästras, kiräta-hüëändhra-pulinda-pulkaçä äbhéra-çumbhä yavanäù khasädayaù [SB 2.4.18]. They are considered as caëòäla, less than the çüdras.  - Bhagavad-gétä 16.1-3 — Hawaii, January 29, 1975

Kåñëa says that "Anyone who takes shelter of Me, even he belongs to the päpa-yoni..." Päpa-yoni means the caëòälas, less than the çüdras. Striyo vaiçyäs tathä çüdräù... Again He mentions. Te 'pi yänti paräà gatim. So they are eligible to go back to home, back to Godhead. There are so many instances. Kiräta-hüëändhra-pulinda-pulkaçä äbhéra-çumbhä yavanäù khasädayaù, ye 'nye ca päpäù: [SB 2.4.18] "Lower than them, still more sinful," çudhyanti, "they can be purified," prabhaviñëave namaù, "if he becomes a Vaiñëava."  Çrémad-Bhägavatam 3.26.27 —Bombay, January 4, 1975

Kåñëa says in the Bhagavad-gétä, mäà hi pärtha vyapäçritya ye 'pi syuù päpa-yonayaù [Bg. 9.32]. Päpa-yoni means to take birth in low class family or demonic family. So päpa-yonayaù. Kåñëa says openly, ye 'pi syuù päpa-yonayaù. Anyone, it doesn't matter, even if he is born in a päpa-yoni Päpa-yoni means generally less than the çüdras.  Çrémad-Bhägavatam 7.6.1 — Våndävana, December 2, 1975

Money grabbing BBT?
→ simple thoughts

Share

Is the BBT just money grabbing always looking for an opportunity to charge?
I wonder if like me how many use the eBook or app to access Srila Prabhupada books whilst on the go, do we show due diligence to check the source, or is the cheaper the better and what beats that is free.

image

Were living in a society which is slowly loosing the true understanding of real value, captivated by slick adverts for product’s often made in sweatshop in far off countries or special offers with a promise of free this free that; we remain captivated and bound to materialistic nature.
So we now have Srila Prabhupada books the cure for this disease, but contaminated the same wanting something for nothing mentality prevails wanting all of the books for as little as possible no matter what the source.
The question is how much do we love Srila Prabhupada?
Enough to purchase the books from the BBT the custodian who are charged in caring for printing and distribution of Srila Prabhupada books or do we feel well it doesn’t matter after all the words are the same, right!
Before we press the download or install button do we check the source, or make sure the correct royalties are being made, this protects the intellectual property and ensures that Srila Prabhupada books can be distributed for many many years to come.
After all everything has a value, we should show our appreciation and pay the true asking price for Srila Prabhupada books and if you take in the real value the words held within it still remains at this price as cheap as chips
So think BBT first when purchasing Srila Prabhupada books its not money grabbing its supporting ISKCON the institution Srila Prabhupada set up; by doing this we show our true love and appreciation

Srila Prabhupada Disappearance @ New Vrindavan (Album 56 photos)
Srila Prabhupad residing in the holy Dham of Sri Vrindavan, on Monday November 14th, 1977, at 7:30 pm., which fell upon the Caturthi of the Gaura (Sukla) Paksa, Mula nakshatra, gave up this mortal frame surrounded by loving disciples engaged in ‘Harinam-sankirtan’, the congregational chanting of the Holy Name.
Translating Srimad Bhagavatam up until the very last breath, in a peaceful condition, and with the Holy Name on his tongue, Srila Prabhupada passed from this world in Sri Vrndavana Dhama to rejoin his worshipful Lords Sri Sri Nitai Gaura, Sri Sri Krsna Balarama, and Sri Sri Radhe Syamasundara in Their eternal abode.

The original Harinama Sankirtan Party

The original Harinama Sankirtan Party

The “golden avatara” of this age of Kali Yuga, Lord Chaitanya, spoke these words:  “Glory to the Sri Krishna sankirtana, which cleanses the heart of all the dust accumulated for years and extinguishes the fire of conditional life, of repeated birth and death. This sankirtana movement is the prime benediction for humanity at large because it spreads the rays of the benediction moon. It is the life of all transcendental knowledge. It increases the ocean of transcendental bliss, and it enables us to fully taste the nectar for which we are always anxious.”

Devotees at New Vrindaban have begun to go out regularly to both Pittsburgh, PA and Wheeling, WV to give the opportunity to the people in general of hearing the sublime sound of the Lord’s Holy Name:

Hare Krsna Hare Krsna Krsna Krsna Hare Hare              Hare Rama Hare Rama Rama Rama Hare Hare
