The Srimad-Bhagavatam at 12.13.13 states, “If on the full moon day of the month of Bhadra one places Srimad-Bhagavatam on a golden throne and gives it as a gift, he will attain the supreme transcendental destination.” We are only a few days away from Bhadra Purnima, which falls this year on Sep 9/10 in different parts […]
The divine appearance day of Srimati Radharani, the eternal consort of Krishna, the Supreme Personality of Godhead
Radhastami is a very special day for all the Gaudiya Vaishnavas, as by obtaining the mercy of Srimati Radharani one can easily achieve Krishna-prema. Radha is Krishna’s dearest servant, and is His pleasure potency.
Srimati Radharani’s glorious birth occured on the eighth day of the bright moon in the month of Bhadra. Although generally not full on that day, the moon appeared full to celebrate Radharani’s appearance in this world. Among all of Krishna’s consorts in Sri Vrindavana, Srimati Radharani is the greatest. In fact, She is the queen of Vrndavana.
On Radhasthami day, devotees meditate on the exalted position of Srimati Radharani and offer prayers to her.
‘I offer my respects to Radharani, whose bodily complexion is like molten gold and who is the queen of Vrindavan. You are the daughter of King Vrishabhanu, and You are very dear to Lord Krishna.’
ISKCON Vancouver hosted the inaugural Sage the Earth (not a typo!) event on June 25, 2022. The presence of sages such as Bhaktimarga Swami, […]
The second day of the Seattle Rathayatra festival continued in the park at Redmond Shire. Thousands of people came through on both days to enjoy stage kirtana, dance and delicious prasadam.
There were stalls featuring Srila Prabhupada’s books, Deity darshan, changing bodies exhibit and various paraphernalia products. There was a pen where people could feed the cows and a local Hindu group performed a sequence with drums brought from India.

The following figures are for week 16 of this devotee care/relief effort. Please find attached a report on the service of the ISKCON Europe Relief Team, established by the Euro […]

Every year on the Labor Day weekend, the devotees from Seattle organize a Rathayatra parade and festival for Lord Jagannatha, Baladeva and Subhadra in the Redmond area of the city. I was asked to start off the kirtan and after a while my god-brother, Hari Vilasa prabhu took over.
All Rathayatras are blissful and the Seattle devotees were ecstatic chanting and dancing before Their Lordships. I met one devotee who came all the way from Calgary, Canada to attend. The numbers grew as the parade went on and finally it ended at a Redmond city park.

“The Latin poet Virgil, has written, ‘Love conquers all’. The second part of what he wrote, in many ways is instrumental. He said, ‘Love conquers all, so let us all be conquered by love’. This is the principle of bhakti. The first and great commandment is to love God with all your heart, mind and soul, and the natural consequence of that is that you will love your neighbor as yourself. And according to the Bhagavad-gita you will see every living being as your neighbor.” “But that actual ecstasy of loving God really comes when we become conquered by God’s love. Krishna, who is the Supreme Absolute Truth, the one God who has many names and has descended into this world many times, in his fullest expression, comes once in a day Brahma to this world. Sri Radha comes with him. The one Supreme God is ever as two personalities, Krishna, the Supreme object of love, and Srimati Radharani, who is the ultimate supreme lover.” Continue reading "Love Conquers All → Dandavats"

On the auspicious occasion of Radhastami, we are pleased to release a video rendition of Gopi Gita from Srimad Bhagavatam. These verses are found in the 31st Chapter of the 10th canto of Srimad Bhagavatam. These famous prayers were sung by the Gopis when Krishna suddenly disappeared from their company and they were searching for Him everywhere. This is one of the finest poetry ever composed. Srimad Bhagavatam is ‘Grantharaja’, the king of all the scriptures and this poetry is one of its crest jewels. Continue reading "The Cowgirls’ Song of Separation → Dandavats"
