“One year when Lord Caitanya was at Allalanatha the devotees from Bengal arrived in Jagannatha Puri and word was sent to Lord Caitanya that they were there waiting for Him and He should go there. But, He was so much in the mood of separation that He did not want to go back to Jagannatha Puri without getting the darshan of Lord Jagannatha. The devotees very intelligently began kirtan and in that kirtan Lord Caitanya’s feelings of separation were pacified. Srila Prabhupada explains in his purport that the Holy Names of Krishna are Krishna Himself—and in this case Lord Jagannatha. So by immersing Himself in the Holy Names—Hare Krishna Hare Krishna, Krishna Krishna Hare Hare, Hare Rama Hare Rama, Rama Rama Hare Hare, Lord Caitanya felt the association of Lord Jagannatha. Srila Prabhupada comments further that whenever devotees feel separation from Lord Krishna or Lord Jagannatha, they can immerse themselves in the chanting of the Holy Names and thereby feel His presence and experience his association.”

While in Bali I was able to go out and visit the newly completed Visnu Garuda monument in the Nusa Dua area. This is the fourth highest of its kind in the world standing at 120 metres tall. An amazing architecture and sculptural achievement, although actual worship of the Lord would have been even better.
I also had the opportunity to be with my god brother and co-GBC for Indonesia, HH Kavicandra Maharaja. We attended the Rathayatra and other preaching programs together and it’s always nice to have his transcendental association.
(Kadamba Kanana Swami, 24 February 2019, New York, United States of America, Bhagavad-gita 7.7)
In the tenth chapter of Bhagavad-gita, ahaà sarvasya prabhavo mattaù sarvaà pravartate (Bhagavad-gita 10.8), we can see that Krsna is the origin of all that is spiritual and all that is material, and the wise who notice this, they perfectly worship Him with love. That is ultimately where we want to come. Because we are seeing how kind Krsna is… how unlimitedly kind He truly is! He is the Supreme, the topmost personality, all powerful, all beautiful, all perfect, yet He takes interest in insignificant creatures like us. He specifically notices our individual existence and that is something special. Every living being means something to Krsna and thus Krsna takes a personal interest in every single living being. That is something extraordinary! Suhrdam sarva dehinam (bhutanam) (Bhagavad-gita 5.29) – heartfelt suhrdam, heartfelt friend and well-wisher of every living being. So to think about that, that is the most amazing thing! And I meditate on things like this and can only imagine how kind Krsna really is. In this way, we can appreciate Krsna consciousness and when we leave this temple, we can look everything we see with a fresh perspective because we can see how Krsna is actually manifesting all these things for us and how He is behind everything. Everything is simply an arrangement of His kindness; sometimes aimed to frustrate us and sometimes aimed to encourage us. But nevertheless, it is all by His loving mercy. That is Krsna!

In pursuance of Srila Prabhupada's vision, as far as I know the highest administrative levels of ISKCON have been discussing and examining the 'culture of succession' principle Continue reading "Anniversary of the Incorporation of ISKCON

“We shall call our society ISKCON.” Prabhupada had laughed playfully when he first coined the acronym. A friend had suggested a title that would sound more familiar to Westerners, “International Society for God Consciousness,” but Prabhupada had insisted: “Krishna Consciousness.” “God” was a vague term, whereas “Krishna” was exact and scientific; “God consciousness” was spiritually weaker, less personal. And if Westerners didn’t know that Krishna was God, then the International Society for Krishna Consciousness would tell them, by spreading His glories “in every town and village.” Continue reading "Incorporation Of ISKCON

Epic Book Distribution at Iskcon Orlando!
This was one of the most epic moments at Iskcon Orlando. A devotee who was visiting the Orlando temple for the first time, bought a whole Saptarishi set (7 books authored by Srila Prabhupada) and gave that as a gift to another guest who also came to the temple for the very first time. This was witnessed by the temple presiding deities, Sri Sri Nitai Gaura Nataraja.
By Srila Prabhupada’s mercy, this world is filled with great devotees who sets a great example for us all.
Dear Prabhu,
Please accept my humble obeisances,
All glories to Srila Prabhupada

Shree Krishna Haveli project update - Bhaktivedanta Manor - UK.
We are very pleased to say that construction is moving forward...
(Kadamba Kanana Swami, 24 September 2014, Scottburgh, South Africa, Youth Programme)
Question: So how can we, the youth of the world, take on this great ideal where we say, “We are concerned with the happiness of all and not just our own happiness!”
Kadamba Kanana Swami: It can be done! It is definitely possible but only on one condition – that we work towards having a common goal. That is not hard to find, but it cannot be found on Earth because when we look at earthly things, we all have different goals in life. One wants a BMW, another a Mercedes and another an aeroplane!
Therefore, the only common goal is a spiritual one. That is what can bring us together. We all come from completely different backgrounds but behind these backgrounds, there is a concept of God. With a concept of God, it is possible for everyone to unite. With a concept of God, it is possible to find solutions for the world. When I see that a person, who is very different compared to me, is sincerely dedicated to God and is also trying to be a devotee like me, then we can appreciate each other even through our differences.
True brotherhood can be found when I see that a person, who is so different to me or so distant from me, is really trying to do something wonderful, something totally selfless; that is my brother! So we can see that such a union is only possible through a common spiritual goal.

The New Govardhan ISKCON community in Murwillumbah, Australia is famous for the many preaching, and especially catering/prasadam distribution programs they organize all year round.
This year the prasadam distribution management team utilized a TOVP-like pandal at one of the largest festivals in Australia, Splendour in the Grass 2019 Music Festival, in Byron Bay, attracting thousands of festival-goers to the beauty of the TOVP and the wonderful prasadam offerings for sale.
This four-day music and arts festival attracts 40,000+ people, and as usual the prasadam distribution was an absolute success as it always is. Pictured is the TOVP pandal that was used this past weekend, July 18-21.

Half-Way Mark (Album of photos)
Indradyumna Swami: Today, July 24, marks the half-way point of our summer festival tour along the Baltic Sea coast here in Poland. Tomorrow we pack up and head out to the site of this year’s Woodstock festival near the German border. It will take us a little over a week to build “Krsna’s Village Of Peace” at the festival site. We need to be ready to greet the tens of thousands of people who will visit us there during the event. We plan on distributing 160,000 plates of prasadam, with a full-scale Ratha Yatra every day and constant chanting of the holy names. Afterward, we come back to the coast for 3 more weeks of the festivals such as you see in this photo album. A summer of service. A summer of love.
On a quiet Tuesday evening…
Shastrakrit Das: On a quiet Tuesday evening, I’m sitting at my book table, chanting, praying to meet some sweet souls and then this sweet lady comes by and says “ I want to dedicate my life to the Supreme, you guys have facility where I can do that full time ?“ I said, yes we do but first you read the books.

It was great to go over to Lombok, which is the next island over from Bali, to visit the devotees. There are two centres there, one being a nice facility in the city of Mataram and the other our temple about 30 minutes drive away.
I was able to attend two programs, one on Saturday night in the city and the other at Sunday midday at our temple. The devotees here are very enthusiastic and were eager to come for kirtan, lecture, arati and prasadam.
