Southport Radha Krishna Centre
→ Ramai Swami

I haven’t been to the Radha Krishna Centre on the Gold Coast for a while and it was great to go again. Rupavilasa, who is a doctor originally from Fiji, bought this building around six years ago and renovated it very nicely. He was able to meet with representatives from the city council and after some work got it converted from commercial zoning to place of public worship.

Since then regular programs and festivals have been held attracting both the Indian community as well as some westerners. It’s conveniently located with places for parking so quite an attractive destination. Being in the medical field, Rupavilasa is able to get other doctors, psychiatrists, nurses etc to come along.
